CVHS Girls Varsity Basketball Team

Our Athletes of the Week are the CVHS Girls Varsity Basketball Team, who honored their graduating players on Senior Night on January 23. Parents, siblings, and friends were on hand to honor Ariadna Estebanez, Nicole Guzman, Meliani Ramos, Valerie Corona, and Qiomy Espinoza (pictured). The Trojans capped off the celebration with a conference game win against the Mt. Eden High School Monarchs by a score of 46-32. Castro Valley held the lead the entire game. Key players were Espinoza, with 10 points and 11 rebounds, and Junior Naomi Chew, who scored 12 points, including three 3-pointers. Castro Valley will host Bishop O'Dowd this Friday before finishing the regular season against Alameda High School and Piedmont High School on February 9.
