Arrested for Child Molestation
Sunday, February 6: at 3:36 p.m., Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 45-year-old man from Castro Valley on multiple charges related to the sexual molestation of a minor including threats of bodily harm. The man was at a home on Brookdale Boulevard near Mayflower Drive when deputies arrived following a call about a suspected incident involving a child at the home. Deputies took the man to Santa Rita Jail. The minor was treated at the scene and taken into protective custody.
Busted for Drugs
Monday, February 7: at 12:20 a.m., a 37-year-old woman with no permanent residence was arrested on suspicion of possession of illegal narcotics and related drug paraphernalia. Deputies approached the woman in the parking lot of a grocery store on Redwood Road near Castro Valley Boulevard where they discovered the drugs in her purse. The woman was taken into custody.
Got Par on the Windmill, But Violated His Parole
Saturday, February 5: at 3:26 p.m., deputies arrested a 63-year-old man from Castro Valley as part of a warrant issued for his capture. The man was in violation of his parole. Deputies served the warrant at a miniature golf course on Castro Valley Boulevard near Stanton Avenue. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail.
Spousal Assault
Friday, February 4: at 10:43 p.m., a 35-year-old woman from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of spousal assault. A report of an altercation at a home on Yuma Street near Acorn Street sent deputies to the scene. The woman was taken into custody. The victim was treated at the scene.
Continued to Disrupt a Business
Friday, February 4: at 2:09 p.m., deputies arrested a 34-year-old man with no permanent residence on suspicion of violating a court-issued restraining order based on continued disruptive behavior at a grocery store on Redwood Road near Castro Valley Boulevard. Store security called for backup after a man refused to leave the store after he reportedly harassed staff and customers. Deputies took the man into custody.
Stolen Property
Friday, February 4: at 4:42 p.m., a 31-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property and illegal drug paraphernalia. Deputies were called to a grocery store on Redwood Road near Castro Valley Boulevard after store security reported the man left the building with unpaid merchandise. The man was taken into custody.
Driving Without an Interlock Device
Thursday, February 3: at 11:06 a.m., deputies pulled over and arrested a 60-year-old man from Castro Valley for failing to operate a vehicle with an operational interlock device. The man was traveling on Grove Way near Carlos Bee Park when deputies pulled him over for an expired license. The man’s record showed he required a device to test his breath for alcohol before driving but none was hooked up in the car. Deputies took the man into custody.
Possession of Illegal Narcotics
Tuesday, February 1: at 9:36 p.m., a 61-year-old woman from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of possession of illegal narcotics and related drug paraphernalia. Deputies stopped the woman for questioning outside an apartment on Santa Maria Avenue near Somerset Avenue when they discovered her stash. The woman was taken into custody.
Traffic Stop Ends in Arrest
Monday, January 31: at 4:37 p.m., deputies pulled over and arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of failing to operate a vehicle with an operational interlock device. The man was traveling on Interstate 580 when deputies noticed his license registration had expired. Deputies pulled the man over onto East Castro Valley Boulevard where they discovered the man did not have a required device in his car to test his breath for alcohol before driving. The man was taken into custody.
