Spousal Assault
Sunday, November 19: at 8:46 p.m., Sheriff's deputies arrested a 38-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of spousal assault and damaging private property. Deputies were dispatched to the scene following a call about an altercation at an apartment on Center Street near Grove Way. The man was taken into custody. The victim was treated at the scene.
Caught with Stolen Property
Saturday, November 18: at 9:13 p.m., a 46-year-old woman from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property. Deputies stopped the woman for questioning in the Castro Valley BART parking lot on Redwood Road and Norbridge Avenue when they discovered her stash. The woman was taken into custody.
Traffic Stop Ends in Two Warrant Arrests
Sunday, November 19: at 1:55 a.m., deputies pulled over and arrested two people from Castro Valley who both had warrants issued for their arrest. When deputies stopped her for a traffic violation, the 30-year-old female driver was traveling on Castro Valley Boulevard near Wilbeam. The woman had been previously convicted of driving a stolen vehicle, possessing stolen property, interfering with a law enforcement officer, and possessing stolen identification. The 34-year-old male passenger was previously convicted of resisting arrest. Deputies took the couple to Santa Rita Jail.
Intoxicated Driving
Saturday, November 18: at 3:03 a.m., a 27-year-old woman from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and driving with an expired license. Deputies pulled the woman over in front of a business on Grove Way near Morales Court. The woman failed her field sobriety test and was taken into custody.
Shoplifter Arrested
Thursday, November 16: at 12:06 p.m., deputies arrested a 20-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of resisting arrest and shoplifting from a grocery store on Redwood Road near Castro Valley Boulevard. The man was detained by store security for leaving with unpaid merchandise. Deputies took the man into custody.
Drunk and Disorderly at the Hospital
Thursday, November 16: at 6:18 p.m., a 38-year-old man with no permanent residence was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication, resisting arrest, and interfering with a law enforcement officer. Deputies were dispatched to Eden Medical Center on Lake Chabot Road after hospital security detained a man for disrupting staff. The man was handcuffed and taken into custody.
Illegally Carrying a Loaded, Concealed Weapon
Wednesday, November 15: at 2:23 a.m., deputies arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of carrying a loaded and concealed weapon without a permit. The man was traveling on Redwood Road near Grove Way when deputies pulled him over. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail.
Family Assault
Tuesday, November 14: at 7:23 p.m., a 911 call about a loud and aggressive-sounding argument sent deputies to a home on Castro Valley Boulevard near Marshall Street. There, they arrested a 34-year-old woman from Castro Valley on suspicion of assault on a family member and child endangerment. The woman was taken into custody. The victims were treated at the scene.
Wanted for Flashing Deadly Weapon During a Drunken Fight
Monday, November 13: at 9:23 a.m., deputies arrested a 42-year-old man with no permanent residence as part of a warrant issued for his capture. The man had been previously convicted of public intoxication, assault and battery, making death threats, and brandishing a deadly weapon. Deputies served the warrant at a business on Grove Way near Redwood Road. The man was taken to Santa Rita Jail.
