Sheriff’s Report: November 20 - 27
Death Threats
Sunday, November 26: at 9:29 p.m., Sheriff's deputies arrested a 22-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of making death threats. The man was at a home on Greenwood Circle near Villareal Drive when deputies stopped him for questioning. The man was taken into custody.
Three Arrested for Drugs
Friday, November 24: at 6:29 p.m., three people with no permanent residence were arrested on drug-related charges. Deputies found the trio parked outside a grocery store on Castro Valley Boulevard near Redwood Road. A 45-year-old woman was found with methamphetamine drugs, a 50-year-old woman had illegal drug paraphernalia in her pocket, and a 32-year-old man was found with an illegal amount of marijuana in his possession for sale. The man was also found to have an outstanding warrant related to a previous car theft conviction and being in contempt of court. Deputies took all three into custody.
Shoplifter Caught
Wednesday, November 22: at 9:20 a.m., deputies arrested a 37-year-old woman on suspicion of shoplifting from a grocery store on Redwood Road near Castro Valley Boulevard. The woman was detained by security after leaving the store with unpaid merchandise. Deputies took the woman into custody.
Too Much to Drink
Thursday, November 23: at 2:53 a.m., a 35-year-old woman from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication. Deputies stopped the woman for questioning outside a business on Lake Chabot Road near Eden Medical Center. The woman failed her field sobriety test and was taken into custody.
Spousal Assault
Thursday, November 23: at 1:36 a.m., a 911 call about a loud and aggressive-sounding argument sent deputies to a home on Forest Avenue near Vincent Court. There, they arrested a 43-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of spousal assault. Deputies took the man into custody. The victim was treated at the scene.
Drove Intoxicated
Thursday, November 23: at 2:48 a.m., deputies pulled over and arrested a 43-year-old man from Castro Valley on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. The man was traveling on John Drive near Castro Valley Boulevard when deputies stopped him for weaving in traffic. The man failed his field sobriety test and was taken into custody.
Joy Ride Ends in Arrest
Tuesday, November 21: at 9:47 p.m., a 28-year-old man from Castro Valley was arrested on suspicion of driving a stolen vehicle. After running his plates, deputies pulled the man over on Wilbeam Avenue near Castro Valley BART. The man was taken into custody.
Drug Runner Caught
Tuesday, November 21: at 10:17 a.m., deputies pulled over and arrested a 33-year-old man for driving without a valid license and suspicion of illegally transporting marijuana for sale. The man was traveling on Redwood Road near the Castro Valley BART station when deputies stopped him for an expired license registration. During questioning, they also found the man had bags of marijuana for sale. Deputies took the man into custody.
