CV Perfect for Infill Housing

The RiteAid property would be great for increasing housing in Castro Valley. It is close to schools, 580, Bart and shopping and would make a great location for apartments. Apartments above retail space would satisfy any need for additional retail space. I’ve noticed that the MAC shoots down every multiunit housing unit proposal they can while happily approving every McMansion development. Castro Valley is perfect for infill housing because of its location and this particular parcel would not cause any environmental damage. I would like to see a decision made for once that benefits the entire community, not just the small fraction of NIMBYs that make up the Castro Valley MAC.
